Employee Assistance

Employee assistance programs (EAPs) are important workplace drug and alcohol prevention measures. Alcohol abuse and the use of illegal or other drugs are serious workplace problems. Nearly three-quarters of those who use illegal drugs also work. Alcohol remains the leading substance of abuse as one in every ten people in the U.S. has an alcohol problem.

Pivot offers employee assistance services.

Pivot can help your employees and their family members by providing confidential short-term counseling, assessment and referral, to the next level of care.

Cosmetologists Care Program

Cosmetologists Caring for Their Clients through Education and Referral

Cosmetologists are in a unique position to provide support and encouragement to clients in need. Often, while providing health and beauty services, cosmetologists will lend an ear as their clients share their joys and concerns with them. Sometimes those clients may share concerns about problems with alcohol, drug use.

Cosmetologists Care is a free program designed to give cosmetologists accurate and helpful information they can pass on to clients who disclose their own or loved ones’ problems with alcohol and drugs.

Cosmetologists Care offers free training for salon staff to learn how to respond compassionately and helpfully to clients who share information about their own or another person’s alcohol or drug use; and free materials, such as a discrete sign, with takeaway flyers attached, for posting in a salon and palm cards, designed for handing out individually, listing what to look for and who to call regarding someone’s alcohol or drug problems.

Contact Pivot, via web form, email, or by calling 315-788-4660, to establish the Cosmetologists Care program in your salon or to renew your supplies.
